I finally got some lights that fit and wired up the K. Originally I was going to hook up a raspberry pie but came across Ikea’s light set – DIODER – which was on sale and does the trick? You think?

had a wes anderson fest during the season of festivities, seemed appropriate. ever since I’ve been channeling bill murray.
with only 2 days to finish the thing, the background stencil is done, and looks OK. in the middle of re-doing one eye so hopefully will hit the deadline – still a little wet.
image is of my mommy when she was younger and lived in Saudi, which was taken from an old skool black and white passport photo (which I can’t seem to find now).
it is crazy the volume, or glut, of photos we all produce now compared to our parents generation. I can hardly find any photos of me growing up but my daughter – I could create a stop motion movie of her entire life so far. The sharing, but not so caring, generation.
who would have thought I could churn that much crap out – more to come 😉
well that was an enjoyable afternoon learning about all the gaping security flaws we are ignoring in the rush to get everything “connected”. hats off to Bill Buchanan and team for an entertaining display of gadgets, ideas and the very obvious risks associated. @TheCyberAcademy

“Using WiFi and speech recognition technology, Hello Barbie™ doll can interact uniquely with each child by holding conversations, playing games, sharing stories and even telling jokes!”
Looks like, after ditching Ken, Barbie has become a little promiscuous with her friends, and you know what they say “it was her friends leading her astray” http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/nov/26/hackers-can-hijack-wi-fi-hello-barbie-to-spy-on-your-children
off to get some education during this season of consumption.

with it, I scribbled most of this afternoon at the Scottish Design Exchange and learned the words to a number of Christmas songs. Also Richie came over and said hello which was a nice surprise and good chin wag.

was doing some drawing at OT again when these monkeys turned up, Amie and Neve. so thought the “king of the swingers” old king Louie the orangutang would be good, didn’t mean for him to look so fierce.

did some more drawing in the Scottish Design Exchange this afternoon – old “top hat, jelly lips” which materialised from nowhere? the subconscious is a wonderful place.
didn’t manage to finish the hat though 😦
