I’m Shiel Yule: a Scottish writer dissecting corporate cults and AI megalomania, a project delivery veteran who has survived more daily stand-ups than any biological organism reasonably should, and the architect behind the Agile Apocalypse books, digital art, and speculative artifacts like Blood Coins.
This site is the command bunker—essays, books, hardware oddities, and code experiments.
If you only read one thing, start with the latest blog post. If you only take one thing, take a book before the algorithms decide literature is an inefficient use of compute.
Now
I write dark satire from a damp patch of Scotland. The beat is simple: work treated as an evangelical cult, artificial intelligence rebranded as an enterprise utility with an unearned messiah complex, and the slow-motion collapse of legacy institutions that genuinely believe infinite compound growth is a valid substitute for a soul.
By day, I deliver complex systems—navigating UK banks, Energy Suppliers, Government Organisations, high-street giants, and the elaborate costume drama of modern Agile delivery. That trench experience is where the satire gets its teeth, its calibration, and its mild sense of panic.
The Site
This is a curated hub, not an archaeological dig of every discarded draft since 2008.
- Writing: Long-form essays on techno-feudalism, rogue roadmaps, and digital absurdity.
- Books: Practical Scrum alongside survival manuals for the impending Agile Apocalypse.
- Projects: Algorithmic art, Blood Coins, hackathon prototypes, and things built purely to avoid sitting through another backlog refinement.
Next The Algorithmic Liquidation (Dark Satire Series — Q4 2026) The moment enterprise AI drops the polite pretence of “workflow optimisation” and begins quietly liquidating the biological overhead. Explore the prologue dispatches under Writing, beginning with the Corporate Survival Guide for the Algorithmic Liquidation.

Just saw your post RE: the demise of RTW. We’d be interested in using your comments, and getting the story out there, as we’re interested in the truth behind the whole thing. Of course we’d be happy to protect your anonimity – if you’re interested ping me an email.

Really!!! Agghhh so excited! Yes, of course absolutely will always give credit to you for it! If you have an e-mail address I could contact you directly to show you what I am in the process of doing for my business and also send you a sample too. I will have a friend make it into a PNG and show you the final result. I promise it will not be used in a bad light or inappropriate in any way. I am so excited. Thank you! I don’t know if you can see mine in my reply but it is tennytulip@outlook.com.
