Was out playing Tetris on the side of one of the oldest and well known buildings in Edinburgh last night. In association with Guerrilla Projections and Monkey Barrel Comedy on Blair Street to promote the Retro Gaming Sunday sessions they have launched. Also some good old Donkey Kong too.
If you would like a lazy Sunday of retro games, buttery rolls and great coffee then Monkey Barrel in Blair Street is perfect.
GMO seeds are not considered dangerous simply because they are modified, but it is that they are modified to handle massive doses of glyphosate (Roundup), and not be affected. The seeds are immersed in baths of a chemical herbicide, that is lethal if consumed by humans, and it is the fear that the buildup of glyphosate within crops is a potential cause for the recent rapid increase in autism, cancers, and other long-term developing illnesses.
Monsanto will aggressively pursue any negative incident legally and cover up anything that leads to negative publicity, believed to be hushing farmers, buying off segments of the government and paying off scientists, so that it is hard for anyone to know what logistical data has been soured, and what truths to believe. It has become easier for countries like Hungary to plow under the crop than to try to disseminate between what is fact and what is fiction with Monsanto.
Monsanto seeds seem to be turning up everywhere – even in batches of “natural” seeds. Could this be because if Monsanto seeds are found to be present on land, Monsanto will fight for ownership of those seeds, and consider them as patent infringement, theft, or whatever you want to call it.
So, like Hungary, rather than fight the giant in court every time their seeds blow into a field, it’s easier to wipe them off the map. NOTE – Scotland has banned the use of GMO crops 🙂

“All Join Hands” art sale with Agent Ali at the Vine Trust in Leith tonight. Contributed some art and did some projecting as part of Guerrilla Projections. Tried projecting across the water to the hull of the orange ship but didn’t factor in the powerful harbour lights (which aren’t on during the day and not obvious) pointing straight back at the projector. I also couldn’t get closer due to the water so couldn’t narrow the focus enough to just hit the hull – meaning half the image was lost above the hull or water. But it worked OK on the bus side as an alternative.
Nice weather, lovely people, beautiful art and a great night. Thank you Agent Ali x
Raspberry Pi project to create a mirror that when a motion sensor is triggered it morphs the reflection into a scary face.
Also portrait idea of young girl (image from AtmosFX http://atmosfx.com/) morphing into skeleton.
I used a reflective mirror film over plexiglass from an Ikea frame but it isn’t working that well #disappointed – the screen doesn’t fit the frame and the frame is clearly visible. Will need a bespoke frame me-thinks. Especially as I took the monitor apart to fit the frame – should have fitted the frame to the monitor. Hey ho was fun seeing how the inside of the monitor is wired.
The reflective foil stuff works OK
The concept works at least just need some perfecting.
