Mohammed Ali
A good friend, Pat, made me aware of a street/graf artists called Mohammed Ali. Apart from his fantastic name this unlikely looking graf artist has a wonderful style and attitude. He won the South Bank Show (Diversity) Award last year and the youtube clip is him speaking about his art.
advertising rather than corporate graffiti
Ah a rare thing – noticed advertising, clever advertising, memorable advertising, talked-about advertising, good advertising.

Os Gemeos
Os Gêmeos (Portuguese for The Twins) are identical twin brothers (born 1974) from São Paulo, Brazil, whose real names are Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo. They started painting graffiti in 1987 and have helping to define Brazil’s style. Their work often features yellow-skinned characters – taken from the yellow tinge both of the twins have in their dreams – but is otherwise diverse and ranges from tags to complicated murals. Subjects range from family portraits to commentary on São Paulo’s social and political circumstances, as well as Brazilian folklore. Their graffiti style was influenced by both traditional hip hop style and the Brazilian pixação movement.
Their new work has landed in Manhattan which is as wonderful as the rest.
