MicMacs
Don’t listen to the reviews – this is a magical film as good as his others. Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a genius film maker.
Boon plays a mild-mannered video store clerk called Bazil who takes a stray bullet to the head; the doctors can’t remove it and he ends up living rough with a band of underground weirdos (the Micmacs of the title). Aided by the Micmacs – one invents Heath Robinson-type contraptions, another is a contortionist, another a human cannonball – Bazil cooks up a convoluted scheme to take revenge on the arms manufacturers who maimed him (and killed his father).

just finished Malcolm Gladwell’s second (?) book. very interesting and many interesting theories. all about those moments when we know something without knowing why. hard to explain your better off reading the book. his style of writing is witty and engaging, some chapters did go on a bit and his point was labored but is well worth a read.
